Supporters club membership

⚫️⚪️ Are you a member? ⚫️⚪️

We would like to take the time to thank our paying members and reach out to those who may not yet be involved and ask you to join us today and help us to support Dover Athletic FC next season.

It has long been a misconception that the supporters club just organise coaches for away travel, which just happens to be one thing that we’ve successfully achieved this season, albeit not as many as we would all have hoped for, due to some long expensive trips to the West Country.

It’s our members and their efforts throughout the season that allow us to continue to support the football club and local community in many ways. So where has this money gone this season?

At the start of the season we made a substantial investment of £1900 to purchase the Wyscout system, which allowed the management team to obtain footage of opponents from teams across our division. This was planned to be an annual commitment however due to our relegation this season and this system not present in the Isthmian League we will now look to re invest this money elsewhere.

We also decided to not just support the football club itself but the future of Dover Athletic and sponsored the Under 13s during their 23/24 season. When we found out that Jake was working on individuals fitness and offering players extra PT sessions outside of the scheduled training, we purchased a set of jump boxes to help make these sessions as impactful as possible.

We have made charitable donations to the NSPCC (Archie Hatcher London marathon)

Cancer Research UK (Nick Dembele push up challenge) Anchor of Hope Church (player of the season John Oyenuga’s chosen charity). We have also donated £200 locally to the Dover Gymnastics club as they look to lay new flooring and are currently raising the funds to do so.

We once again ran the pitch square scheme raising money to aid the maintenance of the pitch something we will look to run again next season also.

We ran multiple quiz and race nights throughout the year with one joint effort with the community trust which proved to be a great success as did the joint raffle that was hosted with them for Christmas. All monies raised from the quizzes were donated to the Football club directly.

A special mention to one of our members Mark Winter who has gone out of his way to start a meat raffle in the town. Due to the success of this raffle we offer Mark the opportunity to run this under our license so it remain in line with raffle licensing and we are pleased to say that his efforts have raised in the region of £6000 a year. Great effort Mark and do keep up the great work.

Again, none of this is ever possible without your support and your membership means more to us than we can say in just one message. So if you’re reading this and you are not yet a member of the supporters club, why not get in contact today by emailing membershipdasc1@gmail.com to register your interest and join us in pushing the club forward into a positive season ahead.

Coaches update

The Supporters’ Club has recently made the decision to change coach supplier.

This decision was made so that we can go back to taking bookings on a Saturday game preceding an away game.

This change will also allow us to offer a 16 seater if we are unable to get sufficient bookings for a larger coach, that will allow us to run more coaches which otherwise would have not been viable.

More information about the change can be seen in our October newsletter.

DASC Vacancy

There is now a Vacancy as COACH CO-ORDINATOR.

Your Supporters' Club supports the Team with Wyscout scouting tool purchase

Presentation.JPG

The Supporters' Club has recently made a £1,900 donation to the football club to fund the purchase of the Wyscout scouting tool.  This equipment will enable the club to analyse both their opposition's data as well as their own.

With Dover Athletic being one of the few clubs in our league that previously did not have access to this product. We felt that this would be a important and intuitive tool for the club to have access to.

Thank you for your continued support!

Our primary objective is to strengthen the bond between Dover Athletic Football Club, its fans and the community which it serves, to represent the interests of the community in the running of the Club and promoting the game of football as a recreational facility and focus for community involvement.

Your Supporters' Club supports the Team Management with GPS purchase

12.jpg

The Supporters' Club has recently made a £4,000 donation to Andy Hessenthaler and his management team to fund the purchase of twenty 'Catapult' GPS tracker vests and associated software for use by the first team squad.  This equipment will enable the management to assess the fitness, effort, injury status and more of the players.

With 70% of Premiership and EFL clubs, and 75% of National League teams using the software, we felt it was an important and intuitive system for our players and management to have.

Thank you for your continued support!
